1. Introduction These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website [www.art-rjreid.com] (RJ Reid Art), which is operated by Robert J Reid trading as RJ Reid Art (“we”, “us”, “our”). The Site is hosted on the Wix platform.By accessing, browsing, or placing an order on the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

4. Our Products I create and sell fine art prints in two distinct ranges. It’s important to understand the difference before you buy:Limited EditionOnly 25Hand Signed Limited Edition Prints Strictly limited to 20 prints per image – once sold, never reprinted Each print is numbered (e.g., 7/25) and hand-signed by me Higher archival quality, typically priced around £50 - £100 Held in stock in Birstall, ready to ship Certificate of authenticity included Considered bespoke/personalised due to hand-signing & numbering – see returns section Open EditionPrint on DemandPOD Prints – Printed to order by our trusted print partner when you order Open edition (not limited), perfect for Spaniel lovers & gifting Typically £45–£55 depending on size Made to order – production takes 3–7 working days before dispatch Archival inks on quality paper – not hand-signed Colours may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to monitor settings and the nature of fine art printing. This is not considered a fault.

 

5. Pricing All prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (GBP – £) and include VAT where applicable. As a UK-based small business, VAT treatment will be stated at checkout. Prices are correct at the time of publication but may change. If a pricing error occurs, we will contact you before dispatch to confirm you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and product type. We reserve the right to offer occasional discounts or promotions at our discretion.

 

6. Orders & Acceptance When you place an order on Wix, you will receive an automatic order confirmation email. This is not acceptance of your order – it is simply acknowledging we have received it.Acceptance occurs when we dispatch your Product and send you a dispatch confirmation, or in the case of POD items, when production begins. At that point a contract is formed between us under these Terms.We may decline or cancel an order if: the Product is out of stock (especially Limited Editions), there was a pricing or description error, we suspect fraud, or we cannot obtain authorisation for payment.For Limited Editions: stock is extremely limited (25 per image). Orders are fulfilled first-come, first-served. If you order a number that has just sold out, we will refund you in full.

 

7. Payment Payment is processed securely through Wix Payments and/or other payment providers displayed at checkout (e.g., PayPal, Stripe).We do not store your full card details. All payment data is handled by our payment partners under their own privacy policies. Payment is taken at the time of ordering. You must be authorised to use the payment method you provide. If payment fails, your order will not be processed or dispatched.

 

8. International Shipping: Available to most countries. You are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees levied by your country – these are not included in our price. 9. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015 are fully respected.9.1 14-Day Cooling Off Period (for UK consumers buying online) If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days from the day after you receive the goods, without giving any reason (the “Cooling Off Period”). This applies to most POD Prints.To exercise this right, you must inform us clearly before the 14-day period expires by emailing [art.rjreid@gmail.com]. You must then return the goods within 14 days of cancellation, at your own cost unless faulty, in original condition and packaging.We will refund the purchase price (including standard delivery cost) within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return.Important Exception – Please ReadHand Signed Limited Edition prints are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right. Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to goods that are made to your specification or are clearly personalised. Because each Limited Edition print is individually numbered and hand-signed by the artist after your order is placed (or specifically allocated and personalised for you), it is considered personalised / made to order. Similarly, any POD print with customisation, personalised text, or bespoke request would also be exempt. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty (see Section 10).9.2 How to Return (where applicable) Contact us first – we will provide return instructions. Items must be unused, unframed, and in original condition and packaging. For non-faulty returns under the cooling-off period, return postage is at your cost. We recommend tracked, insured shipping. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. 9.3 Cancellations Before Dispatch You may request cancellation before dispatch/production. For Hand Signed prints, if we have already signed/numbered your specific copy, we may not be able to cancel as above. For POD prints, if production has already started, cancellation may not be possible.

 

10. Faulty Goods & Consumer Rights Act 2015 I take great pride in the quality of every print. If something arrives damaged or faulty, please let me know promptly with photos.Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described – this is your statutory right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If goods are faulty, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund. We will assess each case fairly and in line with the law. For damage in transit, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of packaging and damage. Slight colour variation from screen to print is not considered a fault, as noted in Section 4. This section does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

 

11. Intellectual Property All artwork, images, designs, and content on the Site remain the copyright and intellectual property of Robert J Reid.When you purchase a print, you are buying the physical print only – not the copyright, nor any right to reproduce, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit the image. You may not scan, photograph for reproduction, or use the artwork for any commercial purpose without prior written permission.You may share photos of the print in your home on social media (thank you!) provided you credit RJ Reid Art and do not imply endorsement or create derivative products.

 

12. Use of Website The Site is provided for personal, non-commercial browsing and purchasing. You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce viruses, or use it for any unlawful purpose. The Site is hosted on Wix. Wix’s infrastructure and terms also apply to site functionality, uptime, and data processing. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Site accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

 

13. Limitation of Liability Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss (including loss of profit, loss of opportunity) arising from your use of the Site or purchase of Products. Our total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the price paid for that order. We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., courier failure, customs delays, production partner delays, natural events). All prints are for decorative personal use. We are not liable for framing, hanging, or display decisions.

 

14. Privacy Your privacy matters. We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.Please read our full Privacy Policy here: . It explains what data we collect via Wix, how we use it to fulfil orders, and your rights.Wix and our print-on-demand partner act as data processors for order fulfilment. Payment data is processed by Wix Payments / PayPal / Stripe and we do not store full card details.

 

15. Governing Law These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, although if you are resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of your local law.
